How many LEED points can we achieve with installing a tile roof?

SS Credit 7.2 – Heat Island Effect

• LEED Credit Available: 1 Point
• Most tiles will meet the required Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) value of 29.

MR Credit 4 – Recycle Content

• If the total PRI content of all the materials used for a building totals to:
• 10% = 1 LEED Point
• 20% = 2 LEED Points
• 
  
• Look for manufacturers of clay roof tile that have a post industrial recyclable content of 3% or more.

MR Credit 5.1 – Regional Materials

• LEED Credit Available: 1 Point
• A LEED point can be earned if the location of the manufacturing facility is within 500 miles of the job site.
